The former home and garden of the Fujita family, this beautiful Japanese garden is the second largest in Tohoku region (northern area) of Japan.
The garden is divided into upland section and lowland section. The former is western style one, and the other is Japanese style one.
There are some buildings, such as a Japanese-style building, a European-style building used as cafe, an archaeological Museum and a big weeping cherry tree in upland section.
A weeping cherry tree is worth a visit, if you come to Hirosaki castle park at at the time of cherry blossom festival.
Autumn foliage in the garden will be at their best from the end of October to the beginning of November.
