Kosaka railway was freight railway connected with Kosaka town and Odate city and it was 22.3 km stretch.
The service was eliminated in 2009 and the Kosaka station and its facilities are restored as theme park of train.
Visitors can stay overnight at carriage that used as sleeper train in weekends and Japanese national holidays.
The most popular experience is driving diesel locomotive in the site. The application must be made on Japanese website in advance and the fee is JPY 25,000 at least.
It’s a little hard to experience for foreigners, because assistant that attend on visitor can’t speak English well.
