Hakkoda Ropeway is a highlight of the tourism of this National Park.
Required time to summit station of Tamoyachi-dake(Alt. 1,324m) is 10 minutes one way and the Ropeway operates throughout the year.
If the sky is clear, You can overlook Mt.Iwaki, not only mountains of Hakkoda, but also Aomori city and Mutsu Bay, Tsugaru Peninsula, Shimokita Peninsula from the summit station.
Best time to see the autumn foliage is, in late-September to mid October, a lot of hikers visit here at this time.
In winter, a lot of backcountry skiers visit here. Best time to see the Jyuhyo (Ice monster) is through January to early March.
The Jyuhyo(Ice monster) is the must-see tourist spot in Aomori in winter.

Mt.Odake is highest peak of the mountain range(Alt.1,585m).
There’s mountain trail to the summit from summit station of Hakkoda ropeway and Sukayu Onsen.
It takes about 2 hours by trekking to the summit from the Onsen.
There is Kenashitai Marsh on the way to the summit.
The marsh is famous for spot of Autumn foliage and best season for visiting is from the end of Sep. to mid Oct.
