Nakano Momiji Mountain is located on the way to Mt.Hakkoda from Hirosaki city.
The mountain is known for locals as best spot of Autumn leaves.
It has been said that feudal lord of Hirosaki originally ordered a hundred kinds of maple seedlings from Kyoto in 1803 and planted the seedlings here.
The mountain mainly consists of lowland and high ground area.
There are Nakano shrine and Fudonotaki fall in lowland.
There is forest of maple trees that are called Kanfudai in high ground area.
It will take several minutes to go up there.
It’s best time to see Autumn leaves of the mountain from late Oct. to Beginning of Nov.
The trees around Fudonotaki Fall are also lit up until 9PM during the season.
